Eating Emotions or Meeting Them?
Stress relief, a quick fix, comfort or just a nice feeling – many of the reasons why we eat when we really don’t need to.
This new talk is here to support us to recognise our emotions and develop soothing techniques to turn to, instead of using food to cope.
Our emotions can cause uncomfortable physical responses which demands us to comfort and often push away these feelings. Unfortunately when we soothe with food, we add another layer to the issue and can end up feeling much worse.
This talk will help distinguish between physical & emotional hunger, identify emotional triggers and help recognise our own body’s natural physical responses to different feelings. We will also gain self-soothing techniques and practical support to develop a new approach to our emotional world.
DURATION: THE TALK RUNS FOR 1.5 HOURS.
TARGET AUDIENCE: THIS TALK IS SUITABLE FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
